Blogging is often a dreaded term for small business owners. Mostly because they get tripped up about what to write about and finding time to do it. Hubspot has recently launched a new Blog Topic Generator to help.
Another issue is finding the time. I often suggest that small business owners start out with blogging once every 1-2 weeks. I know that sounds like a lot, but not if you are organized and create an initial blog post schedule. Plan out a month of topics in advance and then schedule in 30 minutes to 1 hour each week to write something relevant to your audience.
1. Pay attention to the questions your customers/clients ask you. This is a great source of information.
2. Subscribe to industry newsletters and Email blasts for content you can share.
3. Attend local seminars for your industry for learning and share the knowledge.
4. Record your own talks via SlideShare (for Power Point presentations) or video.
